Atwix implemented Adobe Commerce Cloud, developing a robust B2B portal within just 8 weeks. The new platform integrated seamlessly with Byrne’s ERP, offered non-catalog product functionality, 360-degree product views, and improved performance.

When Byrne Electrical Specialists chose Atwix to help launch their critical B2B Adobe Commerce (Magento Commerce Cloud,) website, the stakes were high, to say the least. They have evolved from a Michigan basement into a global leader with over 600 patents! With Byrne’s success eventually came aged technology that needed a revamp. They were looking to support their vision of a dedicated B2B portal for their customers. The new portal had to integrate seamlessly with their existing ERP system and provide a smooth user experience that mirrored their main website. This solution needed to support product complexity, customization, and part number lookup; tailored to B2B customers’ unique needs like shipping from their accounts and using credit lines.

Our approach involved identifying the most critical items to accomplish a successful launch within 8 weeks, a strategy dubbed “lowercase MVP” by George Fabis, and in the end “lowercase MVP” ensured the project’s timely and successful execution.

Before going live, Byrne involved their B2B customers in testing the platform. The feedback highlighted improvements in user experience, performance, and speed.

- 360 Product View images: Interactive product images on the PDP.
- Non-catalog products functionality: Products configured externally and imported to the eCommerce platform using Magento API.
- ERP Integration: Seamless order information transfer and processing.
- Customer Shipping Account: Option for customers to use their shipping providers’ accounts.
- Save Cart as PDF: Ability to print or save the cart as a PDF.
- Order Notes: Feature for customers to add comments to ordered products.
- Magepack Integration: Enhanced site speed through optimized performance.
